Bring on autumn and pull out the lederhosen! One of Chicago’s most popular celebrations of fall and all things Bavarian — Oktoberfest Chicago at St. Alphonsus — returns for its 18th year of seasonal revelry. It takes place both in and outside the iconic church located in Chicago’s West Lakeview neighborhood.
Among the weekend excitement is Friday– and Saturday’s popular craft beer tasting nights in the parish’s German Beer Hall.
Another highlight (in addition to beer, brats, pretzels, and pop –and Bavarian music acts on two stages) is Saturday & Sunday afternoon’s “Kinderfest” featuring games and other activities for youngsters and families.
Craft Beer Night - Friday & Saturday
From 6:00 - 9:00 pm, enjoy 20 tastings from craft breweries around the country ... all for only $40 (includes admission to festival). The Craft Beer Tasting sessions will be held in an intimate German beer hall within St. Alphonsus church. The event is limited to 600/night and attendees will get to try 20 of over 40 samples of unique beers! Each participant will receive a delicious pretzel necklace to accompany you on your journey of beer sampling!

Kids' KinderFest Now TWO Days!
Kinderfest is a great time for 'Fest goers of all ages. Enjoy plenty of kid-centric activities, show the kids how to polka and treat the family to some authentic German food. It's the perfect afternoon for everyone.
